Two dogs missing after break in at Derby business

Two dogs have gone missing after a burglary at a Derby business.

The Akitas were at the premises in Gosforth Road, Allenton, when it was targeted by criminals in a nighttime raid.

The people responsible broke in during the early hours of Wednesday, January 13, taking a substantial quantity of tools and car parts when they left.

The owner, who returned to the building the next morning, realised the pair of dogs were missing, as well as the tools, and reported it to the police.

Derbyshire Constabulary has now issued an appeal asking for anyone who has seen the dogs, which belong to the owner of the business, to get in touch.

Officers say they think the break in happened shortly before 5.50am on Wednesday and want to see any CCTV that might be in the area.

They are also asking anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch.

Anyone with information which could help the investigation is asked to contact PC Michael Verdi by calling 101, quoting reference number 21*32665.

People can also contact Crimestoppers, which is an anonymous service, on 0800 555 111.
