A diversion route will be in place, taking traffic via Thurnby, Stoughton and Great Stretton.

The diversion route is just over six miles long and will take drivers more than 10 minutes to travel along.

Leicestershire County Council said in a statement about the closure order: “The purpose of the order is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching works.

“The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of two days, commencing on March 3, 2021.”

The closure will be confirmed by the council two weeks prior to the work going ahead.
