Pedro Pascal says those rumours about him wanting more screen time in ‘The Mandalorian’ are not true

There appears to be no substance to those recent rumours regarding the main actor and his time on ‘The Mandalorian’ so far.

The rumour mill has been working overtime on ‘The Mandalorian’ recently, with claims that the main star of the ‘Star Wars’ spin-off, Pedro Pascal, has requested more screen time.

Pascal, who has had roles in ‘Narcos’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ in the past, voices Mando in the series. He only appears on-screen whenever the bounty hunter removes his helmet (which has only been a couple of times throughout the 16 episodes, due to the nature of the character), and so it appeared that there were problems behind the scenes with the star.

However, in a recent interview, Pascal debunked these as little more than false statements.

The actor appeared on BBC One’s ‘The One Show’ before Christmas alongside ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ star Gal Gadot, and answered whether the rumours about him requesting more screen time was true.

He responded to presenter Alex Jones’ question, by saying: “That is not true, actually. It’s a really wonderful way of telling a story. It’s always been a very clear creed for the character. The collaborative process of the whole thing.

“We’ve all been on the same page with this. What I want is for them to make the best show possible, however they get that done.”

Disney+’s ‘The Mandalorian’ has been a huge success for the streamer. In recent weeks, a number of other independent spin-off series from the ‘Star Wars’ entity has been announced.

‘The Book of Boba Fett’ and an Ahsoka series are just two titles that have been given the greenlight. The third series of ‘The Mandalorian’ is expected to begin filming once Boba Fett finishes production in the new year.
