‘Fargo’ season four will begin on TG4 this January

Finally, at long last, we have an air date for the latest season of the Noah Hawley creation.

‘Fargo’ season four is coming to Ireland in the new year. According to the TG4 TV guide, the newest season which stars Jessie Buckley and Chris Rock will begin on the Irish channel on Tuesday, January 5.

Our first look at the latest TV series from creator Noah Hawley (which was originally inspired by the Coen Brothers’ movie of the same name) first arrived in January.

That’s January 2020, people. But hey, better late than never. And we’re delighted that it will debut on Irish TV in a couple of weeks time.

Due to everything that happened this year, the series was put on hold by the FX network for a number of months, and eventually aired over in the States in September.

Made up of 11 episodes, the fourth entry in the black comedy/crime thriller series sees Chris Rock take on the lead role as Loy Cannon. Cannon wishes to become the ruling crime boss of Kansas City during 1950, and he will attempt to usurp the Irish-American Fadda family, lead by Jason Schwartzman’s Josto alongside Ben Whinshaw’s Rabbi.

The two feuding families will go head to head, with the Smutny family also managing to get themselves involved in the stake along the way.

Kerry actor Jessie Buckley is also part of the ensemble of ‘Fargo’ season four, playing the role of an irresponsible nurse named Oraetta Mayflower. This will be Buckley’s first TV show role following her appearance in ‘Chernobyl’.

Here’s the trailer for the series, in case you need reminding of what’s to come in the new year.
