A motorist who was disqualified and over the drink-drive limit rammed a police car in a bid to get away from officers.
Ashley Challis crashed into a patrol car as he made his escape from a car park off Leicester Road in Lutterworth on Monday evening.
The 31-year-old, of Falcon Court, Broughton Astley, was arrested on Monday evening in Swiftway, Lutterworth.
Challis pleaded guilty at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today to aggravated vehicle-taking, driving while disqualified and driving while over the drink drive limit.
He was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing at Leicester Crown Court next month.
Harborough Police said no officers were injured in the incident.
